EARLENE MCKEAN - ENGLISH EVANGELISM

I've been a missionary in Japan since 1965. For the past few years I have been ill with diabetes and have had to attend hospital three times each week for dialysis. I was involved for many years teaching English conversation classes at several churches and am still in regular contact with students, pastors and church members at some of those churches.

Many Japanese who would not come to church to study the Bible come to learn English. I'm still very much involved through praying and trust that many of my former students will come to know the Lord as their personal Savior. In the past, some students have received Christ and become dedicated Christians; others have rejected Christ and dropped out of class when the Holy Spirit convicted them of sin. It's a spiritual battle and much prayer is needed!

Please pray for me as I now have many opportunities each day to witness to the various care givers who look after me in my home. I also have the opportunity of passing out evangelistic leaflets to doctors and nurses at the hospital I attend each week.
