MR. PEK - HOSPITAL EVANGELISM IN KOREA

Rev. Pek is a Hospital Evangelist in a very large hospital in Korea. Over 110,000 people are cared for at this hospital on a yearly basis. Over 300 people frequent the hospital daily for treatment.

Rev. Pek has been sponsored by the Japan Mission for over 20 years. He works in a very strategic situation because he has been given an office in the hospital and is the officially recognized Chaplin of the hospital. Many people frequent his office to seek counseling and spiritual help. He maintains a very busy schedule of visiting the patients and has also been granted facilities in the hospital where he is able to lead worship services and prayer meetings.

Recently a 19 year old boy (pictured on the right with father on left and Rev. Pek in the middle) was hospitalized who was involved in a traffic accident. He was in a coma for about 3 months. His parents accepted the Lord as Savior as Rev. Pek comforted them and prayed for their son's healing. About a month after the son woke from his coma he accepted the Lord as his Savior. He is now going on with the Lord and talks of someday becoming a pastor. Praise the Lord!

Such cases are not uncommon as Rev. Pek strives to be a blessing to the many he comes in contact with. Please pray for wisdom and strength for Rev. Pek.
